Abstract:
Urban green areas are very important city parts used
in the field of urban planning in terms of protecting natural resources,
determining the development directions of cities and limiting construction. In
addition, it is one of the most important planning elements that affects the
quality of urban life and the satisfaction of users living in that city.
This thesis study was prepared to examine the urban
green area systems planned in Ordu Province Altınordu district by year, to
identify deficiencies and to examine the relationship between accessibility to
urban green areas, urban life quality and user satisfaction in three regions
determined as the study area as a result of the analysis. It is aimed to create
suggestions for the general problems identified regarding urban green areas and
the problems specific to the study area. In this context, a survey was
conducted in three regions, and the demographic information form consists of 11
questions, information on green areas 4, factors affecting the frequency of
park use 6, and the effects of green areas on the user 7 questions. All
statistical analyzes were performed with IBM SPSS 25.0 program. In the results
of the survey; It has been determined that providing accessibility to urban
green spaces alone is not sufficient, and the characteristics of green areas
such as size, quality, location, etc. also affect the quality of life and
satisfaction indicators.
