Responsibilities
- Bird
Gard provides the newly developed deterrent system, technical specifications,
and access to its global expertise to support scientific evaluation.
- OSU
(Department of Fisheries, Wildlife, and Conservation Sciences – Prof. Bruce
Dugger) contributes academic knowledge and consultation on bioacoustic
deterrents and applied habitat management to strengthen the research design and
analysis.
- KTU
(Department of Wildlife Ecology and Management – Assoc. Prof. Alptug Sari) is
responsible for designing and conducting the scientific tests on the
effectiveness of Bird Gard’s new system under real-world agricultural
conditions, as well as leading research on the development of a new, patentable
deterrent product.
Expected Outcomes
- Scientific
validation of Bird Gard’s new system for mitigating bird damage in agricultural
areas.
- Joint
research outputs and prototypes of an innovative, potentially patentable
deterrent device.
Knowledge transfer and dissemination through
peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, and outreach to
stakeholders in agriculture and wildlife management.
