The article deals with the problems of transformation processes in the art system of Russian literature of realism. Modern literature is increasingly drawn to the
realistic aesthetics of the past, trying to determine its leading features, re-interpret
its typology, to discover the realism inherent contradictions of the previous period.
At the same time, literature and literary criticism of the transition period, are targeted search for a new philosophical framework and a new aesthetic platform realistic
direction in the literature of the late XX – early XXI century.
