Özet

The aim of this study was to analyze and present the growth pattern of Native Turkish Geese for males and females in the different weeks of age. The difference in live weight between the sexes became statistically significant at 6, 8, 10, 12, 14 and 16 weeks of age (P < 0.01 - 0.001). Foot, feather and gizzard weight were found to be heavier in males than in females in general. A fluctuating trend was observed in liver and heart weight according to sex. Effect of sex on warm and cold carcass was statistically significant at 10 and 12 weeks of age (P < 0.05 - 0.001). The wing weights increased with geese age and were found to be heavier in males than in females at 12, 14 and 16 weeks of age (P < 0.05).
