Umbilical, epigastric and incisional hernias may cause incarceration and strangulation of the intraabdominal organs. When greater than or equal to 10 mm trocars are used, incisional herniation may occur if fascial sutures have not been used. We present a new instrument and a new method for the secure repair of small abdominal wall defects. The prototype has been produced by local steel workers.
