Özet

This study was conducted to determine the water consumption of the most frequently used ornamental plant species in landscape architecture and the required irrigation water. This study aimed to investigate the effect of different trial samples on Ilex aquifolium L. plant. Between the years of 2011-2012, two different irrigation levels (I-1: 100%, I-2: 75%), fertilizer levels (F-1: with fertilizer, F-2; without fertilizer) and planting distances (PD1:30 cm, PD2:45 cm) were used. The first irrigation was made up to the field capacity the soil water content in 40 cm depth. The next regular irrigation was made on I-1 treatment in an amount that could bring the current humidity to field capacity and I-2 treatment reached the 75% of available water holding capacity the current water of the soil.
