All rights reserved.In this study, the production and characterization of Al matrix particles and compact materials containing 10%, 20% and 40% by weight Boron Carbide (B4 C) were carried out. The electrical conductivity values of B4 C reinforced Al matrix compact materials were determined as the lowest 6.97% IACS and the highest 20.73% IACS. As a result of experimental studies, it has been understood that B4 C reinforcement, which increases in weight in the microstructure, has a effect on reducing the density of the structure and increasing its hardness. Density values of Al matrix compact materials containing 10%, 20% and 40% B4 C by weight in their structure were measured as 2.622 gr/cm3, 2.598 gr/cm3 and 2.568 gr/cm3. Hardness values were measured as 244.34 HV(0.5), 270.16 HV(0.5) and 290.70 HV(0.5), respectively.
