Abstract

Summary

Due to its geographical feature, the Eastern Black Sea region has recently started to be known for HEPPs and

mining. Numerous scientific studies have revealed that there are historical and natural sites in this region.

Some biologists have mentioned the importance of fauna and flora in the region. A lot of construction is being

done in the region and material quarries are needed for this. Very large quarries licenses have been granted for

the acquisition of sand and gravel to be used as construction material.

According to the working hours; light pollution, thermal pollution, etc. in night work. consists of Water, soil,

air, light and thermal pollutions occur when the construction sites created near the plateaus are converted into

businesses and these long-term areas are used economically. Very strong highways are being built in the

plateaus. These roads are built as asphalt and concrete. The width of these roads is too large, drainage

deficiencies, the absence of art structures at the crossings of dry and wet streams, too many retaining walls

(reinforced concrete and mortared masonry walls) are being built.

Negative effects of all structures in the springs on the fauna and flora of the plateau are also revealed. It is

understood from the EIA reports prepared for the construction and mining activities in the plateaus that the

very different socio-economic and socio-cultural dynamics of these areas are not taken into account in the

publication, as they are only at certain heights relative to the sea level, in accordance with the definition of the

plateaus. In the EIA reports, only the socio-economic situation of the region is examined and explanations are

made on issues such as the employment of local people in the facilities whose establishment will be realized.

Especially for some HEPPs, there are court records that it emerged in legal proceedings as a result of the

request to change the surface water collection catchment areas. The legal status of the plateaus is also

controversial.

In this study, the road routes that are built too long in studies such as wind power plants, HEPP, Solar Power

plants, Mining in the highlands and the negative effects arising from them will be discussed. In addition, the

architecture of the buildings built as a result of the zoning peace in the plateaus, energy sensitivity, snow and

snow load meteorologically, positioning of the building, etc. The type of material used is also controversial.

In addition to these negativities, the issue of the influence of the highland tradition will be examined.
