Crown or root fracture, subluxation, avulsion are common dental injuries during exodontia. The tooth displacement to adjacent anatomical space during exodontia is uncommon complication. The most common sites of dislodgment are the maxillary sinus, the lateral pharyngeal space, the infratemporal fossa and the submandibular space. The accidental displacement of a lower molars during attempted extraction is a rare but potentially serious complication. Diagnosis and treatment should be done carefully. In this literature review, dislocation of the tooth to neighboring anatomical structures, radiography and treatment in the mandible are described.
