Abstract

99mTc is one of the radioisotopes mostly used in nucler medicine for diagnostic purposes. It is obtained from 99Mo generator and applied in nuclear medicine laboratuvaries. 99mTc decays into its ground state in 6.007 hours with only international transition. It emits about 140 keV gamma ray. This and its short half-life make its usefull radioisotope for nuclear diagnostic. From theoretical consideration one can thinks that an alternative way to obtaining of 99Tc can be bombardment of 100Ru target with breamstrahlung photons using medical clinic lineer electron accelerator. In such a case (γ,p) reactions can take place and thus 100Ru can be convert to 99Tc. We have calculated cross-sections of this reaction. According to the results, we have seen that the calculations are in harmony with the TENDL 2014 database. Furthermore, production possibility of 99Tc from bombardment of 100Ru with high energy breamstrahlung photons have been discussed.
