Abstract

We report on a case of Henoch-Schonlein purpura (HSP) with pulmonary hemorrhage and severe renal involvement. The patient also had active carditis related to acute rheumatic fever. He died despite intensive treatment. Regarding this case, we discuss the pathogenesis and clinical findings of pulmonary hemorrhage and active carditis in HSP.
