Abstract

A novel metal-free phthalocyanine 3 fused in peripheral position with four diazatetrathiabicyclomacrocycles has been prepared by bicyclotetramerization of cryptand 1 and its isoindolinediimine derevative 2; the new compounds were characterized by elemental analyses, IR, H-1 and C-13 NMR, UV-VIS and MS spectroscopy.
