Özet

The war between Russia and Ukraine, which started in February 2022, took place on land fronts as well as naval fronts. Despite the fact that Ukraine has a significant naval power in the Gulf of Odessa and Russia planned to create a blockade by making a landing from this gulf, Ukraine aimed to prevent a possible landing by mining this area. Some of these mines were uncontrolled or uncontrollably detached from the systems to which they were attached and drifted uncontrollably towards the southern Black Sea, exposed to current and environmental influences. In this study, the temporal and spatial distribution of the oil that will be spilled into the sea from the ships after the explosions that will occur as a result of the mines being in the traffic routes of the ships is calculated. In the study, oil dispersion simulation GNOME was used, and environmental parameters, especially current and wind, were entered into the model. The distribution area of the spilled oil and the method to be used for intervention were determined. As a result of the study, the amount and impact area of the oil spill that will occur after the mines hit the ship have been determined, and the equipment to be used in emergency response has been determined. In addition, it was determined how the response teams would be deployed.
