Abstract

In recent years, there is a digital transformation where people and objects consume more and more data on the internet. By 2030, the vision to connect 50 billion devices is expected to come true as part of this transformational evolution. Dealing with the growing number of connected devices and the amount of data produced is possible with an infrastructure with wide bandwidth, high throughput, and increased capacity. Offering higher throughput and lower latency, 5G technology is a promising communication technology to meet this demand. However, there are uncertainties in the preparation of 5G infrastructure and the determination of investment plans. Therefore, this article aims to use the AHP-TOPSIS method to decide which of the existing service areas of a telecommunications company in Turkey should be improved first.
