Abstract: The Dahl’s Whip Snake, Platyceps najadum is recorded from Gökçebey district, Zonguldak province (this record is the first case showing a locality of this snake species in this province) and Yenice district, Bartın province (it is the second record except for Eskipazar district) in the western Black Sea region of Türkiye. These results show that the distribution area of the species in the western Black Sea region of the country is wider than known. The morphometric characters and color-pattern features of one dead female (from Yenice) and one female specimen (from Gökçebey) were compared with specimens from the known Turkish localities according to the literature. We observed that the specimens from Yenice and Gökçebey were similar in some characters to the specimens of P. n. dahli reported in the literature.
