Five parmelioid species of lichenized fungi - Myelochroa aurulenta, Parmelinopsis minarum, Parmotrema hypoleucinum, Parmotrema reticulatum and Xanthoparmelia verrucigera - are reported as new to Turkey. Parmotrema hypoleucinum and Xanthoparmelia verrucigera are also new to Asia while Parmelinopsis minarum and Parmotrema reticulatum are new to the Middle East.
