New and noteworthy liverwort records for Türkiye and South-West Asia

Özet

The liverwort taxa Cephaloziella elegans and Mesoptychia gillmanii are reported for the first time from T & uuml;rkiye and Southwest Asia, based on a bryological field trip to the Kar & ccedil;al Mountains in the Caucasian region (Artvin). Additionally, Lophoziopsis excisa is recorded for the second time in T & uuml;rkiye, with the newly discovered locality extending the known national distributions of this taxon. Descriptions, illustrations, data on world distribution and ecology, as well as comparisons with morphologically similar species, are provided.
