Özet

Phosphorescence is called providing long-term radiation without the need for an electrical source and passing from any level of the excited triplet state of the molecule to the ground state by emitting light. Strontium borates are suitable for use as luminescent host materials, expanding their potential applications due to their non-linear optical properties, transparency in the UV region, and high chemical and physical stability. On the other hand, Türkiye is in a very advantageous position in terms of the development of boron technologies, Due to the fact that it has 72% of the world's boron reserves. Therefore, it is essential to develop production processes for strontium borates. This study was carried out to obtain strontium borate compounds by microwave-assisted solution combustion synthesis. Experiments were made using boric acid, strontium nitrate and two different fuels (urea and citric acid). Experiments were repeated for different strontium/boron ratios (2, 4, 6, 8, 10). The obtained powders were calcined at two different temperatures (750°C and 1000°C). The samples were evaluated by XRD. It was observed that different strontium borate compounds were obtained. It is observed that the experimental parameters effect the portions of these two compounds.
