Özet

In this paper, the aim is to analyze the trade between Türkiye and Turkic States to look beyond Türkiye’s foreign policy with the gravity model. The paper reviews the trends in Türkiye’s bilateral trade relations with the Turkic States since 2002. Next, it estimates a formal gravity model to project Türkiye’s trade potential with the Turkic States. It is demonstrated that Türkiye should make more tremendous efforts to increase trade volume with the countries of the Turkic States so that its interest in these countries does not remain only rhetoric but is concretized with adequate political and economic actions.
