As a statistical method in the evaluation of the data obtained; descriptive statistics (kurtosis and skewness) and t-test analysis for independent groups were used. No significant differences were detected in terms of variables of gender and residence (urban and rural Backgrounds). However, a significant difference was found in favor of those who stated that university students participated in sports in terms of the variable of participation in sports. Although no significant difference is identified, this research has revealed that urban and rural youth have social appearance anxiety, but combating this anxiety is a variable that makes a difference.
