This paper presents a method of increasing the starting torque, reversing the direction of the rotation, controlling the speed for a shaded-pole induction motor replacing the short-circuited winding (ring) on the shaded-pole with a winding fed by a low voltage source through a phase-shifting circuit. In addition, a method is introduced to analiye the dynamic behaviour of the shaded-pole motor with two inputs. Experimental and computed results produced are compared to verify the validity of the methods suggested.
