This article explores the profound influence of nature on the evolution of human knowledge, tracing the interconnected development of nature philosophy, science, and architecture throughout history. It examines Robin George Collingwood’s tripartite division of the philosophy of nature, emphasizing the major paradigm shift that emerged following Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution. Building upon this historical and philosophical foundation, the study introduces Eugene Tsui’s concept of evolutionary architecture, which proposes a direct application of nature’s adaptive and evolutionary principles within architectural design. Through this interdisciplinary lens, the article reveals how understanding nature’s processes has continuously reshaped human thought, scientific progress, and the built environment.
