Özet

In recent years, the invasive pest Halyomorpha halys (Hemiptera: Pentatomidae), which has spread rapidly in our country, has been causing serious economic losses in many crops, especially hazelnuts, in the Black Sea Region. Due to its high reproductive capacity and wide host range, its population is increasing rapidly and control is proving difficult. In this study, bacterial isolates were obtained from the surface of adult H. halys individuals collected from Trabzon province. After differentiation based on their macroscopic characteristics, 11 isolates (T-Hh1, THh2, T-Hh3, T-Hh4, T-Hh5, T-Hh6, T-Hh7, T-Hh8, T-Hh9, T-Hh10, T-Hh11) were grown as pure cultures. The staining, physiological, biochemical and molecular properties of all isolates were determined. In insecticidal activity tests performed on adult brown marmorated stink bugs, the isolates were found to show varying levels of lethality. The two isolates with the highest lethal effect, T-Hh2 (Bacillus cereus) and T-Hh11 (Bacillus toyonensis), produced a 65% mortality rate in adult pests 10 days after application at a concentration of 1.8 × 10⁹ bacteria/mL. These findings demonstrate that some bacterial isolates obtained from the surface microbial flora of Halyomorpha halys exhibit insecticidal activity against this pest and have the potential to be used in biological control.
