Özet

A series of 3-alkyl-4-(arylmethyleneamino)-4,5-dihydro-1H-1,2,4-triazol-5-ones 2 are obtained and reduced with NaBH4 selectively to afford 3-alkyl-4-(arylmethylamino)-4,5-dihydro-1H-1,2,4-triazol-5 -ones 3: Compounds of type 2 have recently described as a new class of antitumor agent. Thus, 15 new compounds have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, H-1 NMR, IR and UV spectra. Three of these compounds have been screened for their antitumor activities and found weak cytostatic activity in them.
