Özet

The study investigates variability of climate parameters such as temperature, sea-level pressure, wind speed, and precipitation across the India. The climate data has been accessed from the Global Surface Summary of the Day (GSOD) during 1973-2024 and its connection with the Quasi-Biennial Oscillation (QBO) are studied. The results indicate significant warming trends, regional disparities in wind and precipitation, and moderate correlations among climate variables driven by monsoonal dynamics. Regression analyses reveal limited but statistically marginal influences of QBO at 70 hPa and 10 hPa on these parameters, with wind speed showing the most notable response. The findings highlight the complex and regionally modulated interplay between stratospheric variability and surface climate in India, emphasizing the need for improved stratosphere-troposphere coupling in climate models for better regional predictions.
