Özet
The difference between tumors originating in the gastrointestinal system and other tumors is that they originate from cells that are in close contact with normal flora such as bacteria, fungi, and viruses. Therefore, some of the studies conducted in this area focus on investigating the relationship between the microbiota that constitutes the human normal flora and gastrointestinal cancer. This review-style book chapter provides a summary intended to benefit researchers interested in this topic, giving a limited number of examples from valuable recent studies on this subject.
