Architecture Biennales offer venues to portray and discuss architectural theories, perspectives and products with reference to the theme at hand, with special reference to practice through educational activities. A household name worldwide in the field of architecture, Venice Architecture Biennale leads the pack among the venues to discuss the contemporary conceptions of architecture. In this context, the subject matter of the present research is the discourse analysis of Venice Architecture Biennale. In this aim, the objective is to provide a bi-directional review of the impact of the discourse produced at the 15th Venice Architecture Biennale -organized under the curatorship of architect Alejandro Aravena- on applied architecture, as well as the impact of applied architecture on the discourse to develop at the Biennale itself.
