New metal-free phthalocyanines (8-9) fused in peripheral positions with four tetraazadithiahexaoxa supercryptands were synthesized by tricyclotetramerization of isoindolinediimine derivatives of supercryptands (6-7). Metallophthalocyanines (10-11) were prepared by the reaction of the metal-free phthalocyanines with metal salts or cyclotetramerization of dicyano compounds (4-5) and anhydrous salts of some transition metal chlorides.
