Bu çalışma ile McShane (1986) tarafından geliştirilen tek faktör ve 8 sorudan oluşan Genel Sendikal Tutum Ölçeğinin geçerlik ve güvenirlik çalışmasının yapılarak Türkçe literatüre kazandırılması amaçlanmaktadır. Çalışmanın örneklemini Trabzon ilinde kamu sektöründe çalışan sendika üyesi 350 işçi oluşturmaktadır. Ölçeğin uyarlanması aşamasında geçerlik çalışması için açıklayıcı ve doğrulayıcı faktör analizi uygulanmıştır. Açıklayıcı faktör analizi sonucunda ölçeğin orijinalinde bulunduğu gibi tek faktörden oluşan ve toplam değişkenliğin %62,008’ini açıklayan bir yapı ortaya çıkmıştır. Gerçekleştirilen doğrulayıcı faktör analizi sonucunda ölçeğin uyum iyiliği değerlerinin iyi uyum sergilediği tespit edilmiştir. Gerçekleştirilen analizler tek faktör ve 7 madde ile ölçeğin yapı geçerliğini sağladığını ve doğrulandığını göstermektedir. Ölçeğin güvenirlik analizi için hesaplanan Cronbach’s Alpha katsayısının 0,89 olduğu görülmüştür. Yapılan analizler, Genel Sendikal Tutum Ölçeğinin geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçme aracı olduğunu göstermiştir. İlgili ölçeğin çalışanların sendikalara yönelik tutumlarının incelenmesi açısından literatüre katkı sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir.
The aim of this study is to introduce the General Union Attitude Scale developed by McShane (1986), which consists of a single factor and 8 questions, to the Turkish literature by conducting a validity and reliability study. The sample of the study consists of 350 union members working in the public sector in Trabzon province. In the adaptation phase of the scale, explanatory and confirmatory factor analysis was applied for the validity study. As a result of the exploratory factor analysis, a structure consisting of a single factor and explaining 62.008% of the total variability emerged. As a result of the confirmatory factor analysis, it was determined that the goodness of fit values of the scale showed a good fit. The analyses show that the scale with a single factor and 7 items provides construct validity and is validated. The Cronbach's Alpha coefficient calculated for the reliability analysis of the scale was 0.89. The analyses showed that the General Union Attitude Scale is a valid and reliable measurement tool. It is thought that the related scale will contribute to the literature in terms of examining employees' attitudes toward unions.
