Respiratory diseases are among the most severe diseases and are among the leading causes of death in the world. Early diagnosis and prognosis prediction, as well as effective treatment, are vital to reducing mortality rates. Recently, increasing reports have shown that circRNAs are associated with the occurrence and progression of cancerous and noncancerous respiratory diseases through different mechanisms. In this chapter, we summarize the critical roles of circRNAs in the occurrence and progression of respiratory diseases. We also discussed the opportunity to use these molecules as potential therapeutic targets for diagnosing, prognosing, and treating respiratory diseases.
