The 'obvious' generalisation of compactness to fuzzy topology is known not to be a good extension in the sense of Lowen. Following Lowen's approach to defining a good fuzzy compactness, definitions are suggested for fuzzy almost, nearly and weak compactness which are proved to satisfy goodness. Fuzzy S-closedness and RS-compactness are treated to a similar approach.
