Özet

Humanism, which emerged before and during the Renaissance, is a movement that accepts human reason and will as fundamental parameters, enabling individuals to develop themselves through reason. In this movement, humans realize their power to enhance their own potential by mastering nature. Transhumanism, which both extends and differs from humanism, aims first to extend human lifespans and then, through scientific advancements, to achieve immortality. Transhumanist studies aim to eliminate physical, mental, and emotional flaws, while also attempting to give new meaning to humanity and initiate a new evolutionary process. Rather than natural evolution, accelerated transformation by human intervention is attempted, utilizing the data of genetics. Genetic studies aimed at extending human lifespans and the subsequent human cloning efforts are gaining importance. Miyase Sertbarut's novel, Sisin Saklad & imath;klar & imath;-I, explores concerns about the future of nature, the universe, and humanity. It focuses on the problems that could arise from human cloning and life extension research if they are not conducted within ethical guidelines. In this study, the work in question will be evaluated in the light of transhumanist theory and within the context of genetic studies and will be analyzed using content analysis.
