Currently, politicians and public administrators are dealing with some issues which are called "wicked problems" since they are very complex and difficult to solve. According to some, the public administration, which emerged as a panacea for the significant problems of its time, has a major role in solving wicked problems of 21st century. In this study, in the light of various studies and discussions in the literature, the public administration discipline is evaluated in the context of wicked problems as a research object. Although the discipline has the potential to make significant contributions to the solution of wicked problems through both its guiding nature for practitioners and the rich theoretical literature of co-ordination, cooperation, partnership and co-production, it has been observed that there is not enough academic interest on the wicked problems.
