Abstract
The title compound, [HN(C2H4OH)(3)](2)[PtCl6], comprises [HN(C2H4OH)(3)](+) and [PtCl6](2-) ions. In the cation, the ammonium PI atom forms an intramolecular bifurcated hydrogen bond with two O atoms. The anions and cations are joined in polymeric chains through hydrogen bonds involving the hydroxyl H atom and the coordinated Cl atoms. The crystal structure is of the antifluorite type.
