The Direct Production of a Neutralino with the Lightest Chargino in Proton-Proton Collisions

In this study, the direct production of a neutralino with the lightest chargino in a proton-proton collision at the Large Hadron Collider is analyzed in the framework of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM), focusing on the Higgsino and gaugino component of the neutralinos and charginos. The dependence of total cross section on the chargino mass is presented for the center of mass energies of 8, 14 and 20 TeV. The results show that the total cross section is clearly dependent on the Higgsino/gaugino decomposition of the charginos and neutralinos. In the most promising scenarios, the total cross section of neutralino-chargino production can reach a few thousand of tb.
