Blockchain technology offers significant opportunities for the secure storage and sharing of healthcare data, thanks to its fundamental features such as immutabi- lity, distributed data architecture, and transparency (1). Current health informatics sys- tems face challenges including data security breaches, interoperability issues, and re- gulatory compliance gaps, all of which threaten patient privacy and care quality (2–3). Blockchain provides innovative solutions to these problems by enabling patient data to be stored in encrypted, chronological, and immutable blocks on a decentralized network (4–5). The aim of this study is to systematically examine the potential uses, advantages, and limitations of blockchain technology in the management of healthcare data.
