In this study we investigated pre-service mathematics teachers' experiments and understandings about fractal dimension. The result showed that approximately all pre-service teachers learned how to find a natural object's fractal dimension, but most of them did not believe that dimension concept. Some of them changed their views about there is only one unique dimension. (C) 2010 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
