Abstract

The reactivation of hepatitis B virus after immunosuppressive treatment causes unfavorable outcomes. Thus, this important topic has increasingly gained interest over the past few years. It is vital to screen patients carefully before the prophylactic treatment as this treatment is lifesaving for some high risk groups. We aimed to discuss a case who was under immunosuppressive treatment for anti-HBs positivity. He developed acute liver failure as he did not receive hepatitis B prophylaxis treatment durring the immunosuppressive treatment.

İmmünsupresif tedavi sonrası gelişen hepatit B reaktivasyonu, yarattığı olumsuz sonuçlar nedeniyle son yıllarda güncellik kazanmıştır. Profilaktik tedavinin, yüksek riskli bazı gruplarda hayat kurtarıcı olması nedeni ile, tedavi öncesi, hastaları titizlikle taramak önem kazanmaktadır. Anti-HBs pozitifliği nedeniyle immünsupresif tedavi sırasında hepatit B profilaksisi yapılmayan bir hastada gelişen akut karaciğer yetersizliği dolayısıyla konuyu irdelemeyi amaçladık.
