Abstract: In this study, the epiphytic bryophyte vegetation of the Karçal Mountains (Artvin) in the Caucasus Region was investigated. Relevés collected from living tree trunks during various vegetation periods in 2022 were analyzed using the Braun-Blanquet method and multivariate analysis techniques. As a result, Anomodontetum attenuati-Ulotetosum crispae subass. nov. was described and characterised as a new epiphytic syntaxa. In addition, Orthotrichetum rupestris, Orthotrichetum speciosi, Uloto crispae-Orthotrichetum striati, and Anomodonto viticulosi-Leucodontetum sciuroidis-Anomodontetosum attenuati were determined for the first time in Türkiye. All syntaxa were presented by analyzing them in terms of their ecological and floristical classifications.
