In this work, numerical simulation of the trapped magnetic field was performed, varying the sample shape and dimensions and the distance between the sample surface and the observation point. The mapping of the trapped magnetic field was calculated using the sand-pile model and the Biot-Savart law. It was observed that this calculation method is useful for the determination of the magnetic characteristics of the sample. The trapped magnetic field was found to depend on the sample shape and dimensions and on the distance between the sample and the observation point. It was also observed that the x- and y-components of the trapped magnetic field magnitude were equal, but the direction of the trapped field was transverse for a square sample.
