Urban transformation, defined as the process of producing and implementing projects for demolishing, rebuilding, revitalizing and improving problematic areas in the city to make them livable, has become a necessity for creating healthier environments in cities. The urban transformation process aims to restructure cities and create more reliable spaces by making dysfunctional areas functional. However, in many large cities recently, the opinions of city owners required for the transformation process are not taken into consideration and many transformation areas are becoming a process where soulless spaces are created that are completely independent of their old identities. The basis of urban transformation projects is actually the ideas of bringing cities to modern world city standards, ensuring that the society living in the city benefits from urban rights to the maximum extent and increasing the quality of life of the urban society. The idea of increasing the quality of life has recently been perceived as the transformation of purely physical space in many urban scale projects. In fact, the reflection of the change and transformation experienced in the space on the users should be ensured in social change and transformation. Urban landscape applications come to the fore in this regard. The Trabzon Çömlekçi Neighborhood Urban Transformation Project, which forms the material of the study, is also one of the transformation projects carried out in our country. The neighborhood located in the city center is being transformed in 3 stages and the idea project that proposes how the existing area will be transformed and used for the 2nd Stage, which constitutes the study area, constitutes the agenda of discussion for designers and planners.
