Özet
The role of binder in thick film paste preparation is often overlooked despite of its importance. In the past, polymers with high solvent content have been heavily used as organic binders, which is environmentally unfriendly and poses risk to human health. Manifesting the green metrics from the inception, this work embarks on exploring the use of palm olein (PO) as a 'green' binder for the preparation of conductive graphite paste. PO was heat-treated before being mixed with organic solvents in the binder preparation process. Graphite powder with different ratios were then added into the binder mixture for the conductive paste preparation. Each paste was then printed onto Kapton film and subjected to firing. The paste containing PO-based binder with the highest percentage of graphite exhibited the highest viscosity value of 28.00 Pa.s which suggests the high stability of the paste. Meanwhile, the thick film containing the highest graphite content exhibited the lowest sheet resistance, indicating its high conductivity
