In children with cerebral palsy (CP), assessment is performed to deter mine the diff erence between the existing performance and the child’s capacity, to estimate the optimum level of development, to set short and long-term realistic goals, and to decide on appropriate treatment. International Classifi cation of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) parameters should be taken into consideration during the evalu ation. In terms of ICF, body structure and functions, activity, participa tion, environmental and personal factors should be the parameters to be considered during the assessment. Th e ICF also guides the selection of test batteries to be used for assessment in clinics and research.
