Özet

In this study, 3-(4-{[(1E)-1-benzothien-2-ylmethylene]amino)phenoxy)phthalonitrile 2 and zinc(II), manganese(Ill), cobalt(II) phthalocyanines bearing 3-(44[(1E)-1-benzothien-2-ylmethylene]amino) phenoxy) groups at non-peripheral positions were synthesized for the first time. These new compounds were characterized by standard spectroscopy methods. The electrochemical properties of zinc(II), manganese(III), cobalt(II) phthalocyanines bearing 3(4-{[(1E)-1-benzothien-2-ylmethylenejamino} phenoxy) groups at non-peripheral positions were investigated by using cyclic voltammetry. Electrochemical studies reveal that while the ZnPc 2a give only Pc ring-based redox reactions, the CoPc 2b, MnPc 2c show redox reactions based on both the central metal and the ring due to the metal 3d orbitals lying between the Pc HOMO and LUMO.
