Abstract

Computer-based medicine education (CBME) is an approach to teaching medicine that emphasizes the use of computers. In CBE, hypermedia, hypertext and multimedia terms are commonly used. Skin segmentation can be used as a pre-processor for many recognition applications and is also an important step in facial surgical planning like as many other applications. Furthermore, in many medical applications such as skin diseases, skin segmentation can be useful and robust cue for recognition, detection and analysis. To detect skin is a complex process because skin color shows differences between people according to the environmental and genetic conditions. In this study, we used YCbCr color space to detect skin color by an improved dynamic approach which is dynamic for each image and segmented skin regions by labeling.
