Sekkaki devoted the third part of his Miftahu'l-Ulum to the rhetorics. Scholars following Sekkilki penned many commentaries, translations, apostils on the relevant sections of Sekkiiki's to better understand them, expand their scope and to translate them into different languages. One of these scholars is Khatib al-Qazwini who condensed the third section of Miftahul-UltIm with the name of Telhisu'l-Miffah. Telhisfil-Miffah has an important place in the field of rhetorics in that it contains some sections about rhetorics not included in Sekkaki's the work, in that it analyzes the views of some scholars and criticizes some issues and so on. These features of Telhisu'l-Miftah made it seminal work to be translated into different languages with commentaries on some of its phrases, parts and sample couplets.
