Özet

The electrochemical oxidation of cefprozil was investigated using a bare glassy carbon electrode. The effects of different pH conditions and scan rates on the anodic peak current and potential of cefprozil were comprehensively evaluated. The oxidation process at the glassy carbon electrode was found to be governed by diffusion-controlled adsorption. Following this, the deposition parameters of the adsorptive stripping square wave voltammetry method were optimized, with optimal conditions determined as a deposition potential of +0.9 V and a deposition time of 45 s. In the calibration study, cefprozil gave a linear dynamic range of 0.2-80 mu M with a detection limit of 0.041 mu M in phosphate buffer solution at pH 2.0 using adsorptive stripping square wave voltammetry. The precision of the method was evaluated through repeatability studies, yielding relative standard deviation values below 1.39%. The developed method was successfully applied to the quantitative analysis of cefprozil in pharmaceutical dosage forms without the need for separation or filtration steps. The method demonstrated high accuracy, with a recovery value of 99.56% and a relative standard deviation of 0.82%.
