Abstract

Early childhood period contains the most critical years in which an individual obtain rudimentary knowledge, attitudes and skills. In this term, it is required to present systematical and planned applications so as to make the individual gain certain behavior and to support their development. Early childhood education program consists of activities which help to gain learning abilities in a direct way.  Some of these are science activities. Science activities in education program are quite important for children’s discovering, exploring, establishing cause-effect relation, observing and problem solving. Therefore, applying different approaches and techniques and improving education environment with different materials during educational activities play a significant role in reaching aimed targets in children. In this manner, the importance of science education in early years, the basic features of science, scientific process and concepts, the role of teacher  has been included in this research.
