Abstract

The synthesis and characterization of new Ni-II, Pd-II, Pt-II and Co-III complexes, with the BF2+-bridged, bis(alpha-dioximato) ligands are described. The initially formed six-coordinate hydrogen-bonded macrocycles, were used as metal templates to prepare the corresponding BF2+-capped macrocycles. The complexes were characterized by H-1-n.m.r. and i.r, spectroscopy, and by elemental analysis.
