Özet

In a standard 6TiSCH network, all measurement traffic converges toward the RPL root, which is therefore the only point from which the complete network state can be obtained. This is a structural limitation for deployments in which the root has no Internet uplink and the data must be physically carried out of the field by a mobile collector, since the collector is forced to reach the root’s vicinity on every visit while the nodes around the root deplete their energy relaying the traffic of the entire network. This study presents a gossip-based dissemination layer that removes this limitation without modifying the routing plane, the TSCH schedule, or the role of the root. Each client periodically broadcasts its bounded measurement cache in a dedicated MAC-layer frame type, so that every cache converges toward a network-wide snapshot; a mobile data collector then synchronizes to the schedule from a single Enhanced Beacon and retrieves this snapshot from any in-range client, without joining the routing topology. Cooja evaluations over 40-node grid and random topologies show that a single contact delivers the latest state of 75–78% of the network and that one sweep of the field recovers 95.6-98.5% of all sources, at a bounded cost of about 2% ROM and 6% RAM per node, roughly one percentage point of additional radio duty cycle, and a 1.7–1.8× increase in the mean convergecast latency toward the root.
